PREAMBLE AND WELCOME
Welcome to the Guest Network. You have requested access to the invisible frequencies emitting from the TP-Link router located within this multi-generational domicile. Before you may partake in this bounty of internet connectivity, you must read, understand, and formally agree to the following Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "ToS," "The Agreement," or "The Document You Won't Read But Which We Will Absolutely Enforce in a Court of Law").
By clicking "I Accept," or by simply connecting to this network and existing within the router’s broadcast radius, you are entering into a legally binding, mutually restrictive, and entirely serious contract with the owners of this network (hereinafter referred to as "The Hosts," "The Homeowners," or "Us"). If you do not agree to these terms, disconnect immediately and embrace the quiet reflection of a disconnected life.
You agree to use The Network only for lawful, morally upright, and spiritually appropriate purposes.
2.1. Permitted Activities
2.2. Prohibited Activities
You are strictly forbidden from engaging in the following behaviors. Violation of these terms will result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action:
3.1. The Unfiltered Network
You acknowledge and agree that this specific Guest Network operates without the stringent content filtering applied to our primary internal networks.
3.2. Sole Responsibility
Because The Network is unfiltered, you assume absolute, 100% legal, and Halachic responsibility for your own keystrokes, searches, and requested data packets. We are providing the road; you are solely responsible for where you drive. By proceeding, you indemnify The Hosts of any spiritual or legal burden resulting from your digital conduct.
4.1. Reservation of Rights
The Hosts reserve the unilateral, unalienable right—though absolutely not the obligation—to monitor, intercept, log, record, and disclose any and all data, MAC addresses, and web traffic transmitted over The Network.
4.2. No Guarantee of Privacy
We make no promises regarding whether we are or are not actively collecting your data. We might be logging everything to ensure compliance with Section 2; we might be entirely too busy managing a household of ten children to look at the router logs. You must legally assume that we are monitoring everything and conduct yourself accordingly.
This is a material term of the contract.
5.1. Non-Interference
By accepting these terms, you enter into a binding agreement to never, under any circumstances, adjust the physical thermostat in the hallway.
5.2. Consequences of Breach
If you alter the ambient temperature of this domicile by even one degree, your device will be permanently blacklisted from the router, and you will be held financially liable for any corresponding increase in our utility bill. If you are cold, we will provide you with a sweater.
The Hosts shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use, or inability to use, The Network.
6.1. General Disclaimers
Under no circumstances are we legally or financially responsible for:
6.2. Household Chaos
The Hosts accept zero responsibility for network outages caused by adverse weather, localized power failures, or one of the nine other siblings in this house accidentally unplugging the router to charge a personal device.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Hosts from any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Service.
If your device infects our network with malware, or if your illegal activities result in fines, legal action, or damage to our hardware, you will be held 100% financially responsible for the cost of full replacement, professional IT remediation, and all associated legal fees.
In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms of Service, the following strictly one-sided jurisdictional rules apply. We are fully aware that this is heavily weighted in our favor; you are agreeing to it anyway.
8.1. Guest-Initiated Disputes (Binding Arbitration & Beis Din)
If you (The Guest) have any claim, grievance, or dispute against Us (The Hosts), you strictly waive your right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class-action lawsuit. You agree that your sole recourse is mandatory, binding arbitration in Rockland County, New York, or, at our sole discretion, adjudication before a recognized Orthodox Beis Din (Rabbinical Court).
8.2. Host-Initiated Disputes (Right to Sue)
Conversely, if you cause damage to our network, violate the Acceptable Use policy in a manner that causes us harm, or owe us financial restitution under Section 7, The Hosts retain the unencumbered right to bypass arbitration entirely and pursue you in any court of competent jurisdiction (State or Federal) to the maximum extent permitted by law.
If any provision of this Agreement is found by a court or Beis Din of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or legally laughable, that specific provision shall be severed from the Agreement. The remainder of this document shall remain in full, robust, and binding force and effect.
The Hosts reserve the right to amend, rewrite, or dramatically restrict these terms at any time, without prior notice. Continued use of The Network following any unannounced changes constitutes your binding acceptance of those changes. It is your responsibility to frequently refresh this portal to ensure you are still in compliance.
Requires Netscape Navigator 3.0 or higher.
